GolTV Premieres Sophomore Season Of 'Soccer Aces' On June 2

GolTV will kick off the sophomore season of its international reality competition show Soccer Aces on Thursday night.
The series, debuting June 2 at 8 p.m. (ET), follows 18 amateur hopefuls as they compete in a six-week training camp in Madrid, with the winner gaining a spot to participate in the preseason with Portuguese club, Beneficia. The series will again feature judges and friends Zinedine Zidane and GolTV founder Enzo Francescoli, the Uruguayan international known in futbol circles as "The Prince."
While attending the Soccer Aces training academy, the finalists are scrutinized by video cameras capturing their every move. Also keeping a watchful eye are judges Zidane, Francescoli and coach Francisco José Carrasco Hidalgo, better known as Lobo Carrasco, who will bring his experience as both an internationally recognized player and as a coach for Málaga B and Real Oviedo. The show will also feature special guest judges and coaches each week, including some of the world's top professional soccer stars.
"As the world's most popular sport, soccer yields exceptional fans and amazing talent from all over the globe, and it is our job to go out and uncover those future stars," said Francescoli in announcing the show's second season. "GolTV is a destination for U.S. fútbol fanatics to see the best in international soccer, and the players on Soccer Aces are no exception."
