AT&T scored yet again in programming for its U-verse TV product, announcing a distribution agreement to carry soccer channel GolTV.
Under the agreement, GolTV will be added to the lineup for U-verse, which is now in a limited rollout in San Antonio. GolTV broadcasts more than 1,500 soccer games yearly with English and Spanish play calling, along with news shows, highlight programs and historic specials.
Backed by AT&T’s Project Lightspeed fiber build, the U-verse TV service is set to debut next in a greenfield housing development in Houston. AT&T has plans to roll out the TV service in 16-20 markets by year-end.
