Grande Communications Inc. -- the San Marcos, Texas-based overbuilder serving a swath of towns through that state -- will hold a national search for a new CEO.
The company announced that current CEO Bill Morrow -- who shepherded Grande through its launch and build-out in communities from Austin to Waco -- has resigned following five years in the leadership role.
Morrow will continue to work with Grande on special projects, including lobbying for the company's interests in Austin. He remains a member of the board of directors.
Scott Ferguson -- a cofounding shareholder of Grande and a veteran of telephone and cable operations such as Prime Cable -- will serve as interim CEO of the bundled-services provider.
