Gravitas Ventures Nets VOD Carriage Deals

Content distribution company Gravitas Ventures announced several distribution deals for its video on demand programming packages.

Atlantic Broadband, Bresnan, Cogeco, Mediacom and Suddenlink have signed on to distribute Gravitas' VOD packages featuring documentaries, animation, alternative sports, wrestling/mixed martial arts, comedy, and music concert programming. Overall 40 cable, satellite and telco operators will offer Gravitas-distributed content in 2010.
"The addition of this outstanding group of operators caps a year of tremendous growth for Gravitas Ventures and video on demand in general," said Nolan Gallagher, founder and CEO of Gravitas Ventures in a statement. "With the addition of these operators, we are on track to deliver more than 300 new programs next year to more than 40 cable, satellite and telco operators enabling us to offer greater opportunities to filmmakers seeking audiences through video on demand."
