GSN Sets Date For 'American Bible Challenge'

GSN has set August launch dates for two reality series aimed at broadening the channel's brand beyond game shows.

The American Bible Challenge, a new one-hour game show hosted by comedian Jeff Foxworthy, debuts on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 8 p.m., ahead of a new hourlong cooking competition show, Beat The Chefs, at 9 p.m.

The shows are in the "Shiny Floor Game" genre, as GSN calls it: contemporary studio based game shows that focus on themes prevalent in pop culture.

In Bible Challenge, from executive producers including Embassy Row's Michael Davies, contestants compete based on their knowledge of the Bible. In Beat The Chefs, hosted by Matt Rogers, "everyday people who love to cook set out to prove that their family recipes are worth prize money and bragging rights." Both shows are produced by RelativityREAL, with Tom Forman as executive producer.
