Hallmark Channel has added some 50,000 subscribers on Urban CableWorks of
Philadelphia, a partnership with Time Warner Cable.
The rollout occurred May 31, with the family-oriented, general-entertainment
service now positioned on Urban CableWorks' channel 81.
The launch emanates from an agreement Hallmark reached with Time Warner in
December through which the MSO has been expanding its carriage of the service,
according to a network spokesman
Since the fourth quarter, Hallmark has grown its subscriber base on Time
Warner systems serving the San Diego; Minneapolis; Orlando, Fla.; Houston;
Charlotte, N.C.; and Dayton and Akron, Ohio, DMAs.
"This deal provides our subscribers with exceptional content from a brand
they already know and trust," Urban CableWorks general manager Regina Martin
said in a prepared statement. "Adding Hallmark Channel to our lineup extends our
commitment to offering our subscribers first-rate programming."
