Hallmark Channel said Monday that it has added 650,000 subscribers in April and early May.
Comcast Corp. has launched the network in markets including Chicago; Flint, Mich.; Naples, Fla.; Salisbury, Md.; Dover, Del; and San Francisco.
Hallmark also gained carriage on Adelphia Communications Corp.’s system in Camarillo, Calif., and on Insight Communications Co. Inc.’s Louisville, Ky., system.
The network also announced that four more cable systems serving 1.3 million subscribers have been added to the roster of cable systems inserting on it.
The four new systems are Adelphia in southern Florida; Comcast in Naples, Fla.; Cox Communications Inc. in New Orleans; and Insight in Evansville, Ind.
Total Hallmark local-ad-sales cable subscribers are now approximately 18 million, compared with fewer than 2 million less than three years ago.
