Hallmark Goes Behind Movie Scenes For First Online Series

Hallmark Channel will launch its first online series next month.

Devoted to the behind-the-scenes news and events of the network’s roster of family-friendly original movies as well as Hollywood films, "Hallmark Channel on Location" will showcase informal and intimate interviews with stars, writers, producers and directors, as well as on-set stories. The series will also visit red-carpet theatrical premieres and press junkets.

Available at www.hallmarkchannel.com, the series is scheduled to launch Aug. 15, with a specially designed microsite. Some segments will also appear of Hallmark Movie Channel.

Hallmark Channel has hired Stacey Gualandi to produce each episode and serve as the series’ interviewer and host. Reporting to senior vice president, creative services Marvin Dorson, Gualandi is a national TV host and correspondent who started her career as Molly Ringwald’s stand-in in Fresh Horses. Her career has included stints as senior west coast correspondent for Inside Edition, breaking news reporter for TV Guide Network and field producer for Extra.

“ ‘Hallmark Channel on Location’ results from our increasing investment in quality, original, online content where viewers will have yet another opportunity to satisfy their appetite for all things Hallmark Channel and all things Hollywood,” said Dorson in a statement. “We’re also thrilled to have Stacey on board as the energetic new host of this series.  Her production experience coupled with her refreshing on-camera personality will make this show not only informative and entertaining, but also distinctive.”
