Jennifer Geisser has been promoted to senior vice president, corporate communications for Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.
In her newly expanded role, Geisser, who continues to report to Hallmark executive vice president of programming Dave Kenin, will lead and execute special events for the network. Geisser will continue to work closely with all areas of the company and its management team, including president and CEO Henry Schleiff, whom she served with previously at Court TV and rejoined at Hallmark Channel in November 2006.
Over the past year, Geisser and the communications team have coordinated high-profile client and press events, including participation and presence at the Sundance and Hampton Film Festival. She’s also charged with raising the network’s profile in Washington, D.C. by attracting decision makers, political figures and key media organizations through various outreach initiatives. She will also continue to execute strategic public relations campaigns for the network targeting both trade and consumer media.
“Jenn has been instrumental at finding new opportunities to extend the Hallmark brand, elevate the networks profile and strategically communicate our message. Her fresh perspective and keen sense of the industry have made her a true asset to the company,” said Kenin in a statement.
Noted Schleiff in a statement: “From our former days at Court TV to the present ones at Hallmark Channel, Jenn’s unique outlook, talent and dedication have contributed consistently to our growth and success – – she is someone I always want on our team.”
