Hallmark Renews ‘Good Witch’

Hallmark Channel will bring back its freshman series Good Witch for a sophomore campaign, network officials said.

The series, starring Catherine Bell, James Denton and Bailee Madison, will return with a two-hour fall 2015 premiere followed by 10 addition hours in early 2016. The series finished its freshman campaign as the network’s most-watched and highest-rated primetime drama in its time period, said network officials.

“Our viewers have fallen in love with Catherine Bell and her enchanting journey, as well as her talented co-stars, James Denton and Bailee Madison,” said Michelle Vicary, Executive Vice President, Programming and Publicity, Crown Media Family Networks in a statement. “After seeing the tremendously overwhelming response to the series, there was no question that Good Witch would be renewed for a second season.”
