Video-processing-equipment vendor Harmonic announced Monday that it completed the acquisition of Entone Technologies’ video-on-demand networking-software business.
In August, Harmonic, based in Sunnyvale, Calif., announced plans to acquire the Entone unit for about $45 million in cash and stock. The companies originally expected the deal to close in October.
As of Dec. 8, Harmonic owns Entone’s VOD group.
Entone -- based in San Mateo, Calif., with research and development in Hong Kong -- plans to focus on its home-gateway line of business.
