Harris To Host The Video Game Awards


Actor Neil Patrick Harris will host Spike TV's Dec. 11 telecast of the 2010 Video Game Awards, the network announced Monday.
Harris, The How I Met Your Mother star and 2009 Emmy Awards host, will preside over the special, which celebrates the best in video gaming.
"Neil is a big gamer and a brilliant host," said Casey Patterson, executive producer for the Video Game Awards in a statement."Video Games are taking over the world and Neil is perfect to lead the VGA's in celebrating the best of the year and the future of gaming."
Announced award presenters for the show include It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia cast members Danny Devito, Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney; comedian Dane Cook; and actresses Olivia Munn and Denise Richards, according to Spike officials.
The show will feature 13 world premieres of the most anticipated games of 2011, including Batman: Arkham City, Resistance 3 and Thor: God of Thunder, said the network.
