Hart to Host Noggin Tween Transformation

No fooling, Melissa Joan Hart will return to her Nickelodeon roots.

The star of The WB Television Network's Sabrina the Teenage Witch will
host the April 1 launch of 'The N,' the tween-targeted block of educational
network Noggin, the network announced Monday.

Noggin is a joint venture between Nickelodeon and Sesame Workshop.

Hart will emcee the kickoff of The N's 'Fresh-Four-Monday' primetime block
that night and introduce each of the shows comprising that group: A Walk in
Your Shoes
(8 p.m.); Hart's old Nick vehicle, Clarissa Explains It
All
(8:30 p.m.); DeGrassi: The Next Generation (9 p.m.);
24Seven (9:30 p.m.); and Being Eve (10 p.m.).

Although Noggin will move toward targeting the nine-through-14 set from 6
p.m. to 6 a.m., it will aim at preschoolers for the other 12 hours.

To that end, Noggin will unveil Play with Me Sesame, a new original
series at 9 a.m. A total of 30 episodes have been ordered thus far, and the
series will be stripped seven days per week at the aforementioned time.

The interactive show -- featuring Sesame Street characters Ernie,
Bert, Grover and Prairie Dawn -- will also serve up newly created content on Noggin.com.

Other programs to air within the Noggin preschool block are Sesame Street
and Nickelodeon shows Blue's Clues, Franklin,
Kipper
, Maisy and Little Bear.
