History's mini-series Hatfields & McCoys took a second shot at the record books last night, generating 13.1 million total viewers during last night's second episode.
The second episode of the three-part miniseries -- which stars Kevin Costner and Bill Pullam as the heads of the respective feuding Hatfield and McCoy clans -- was down just 6% from Monday night's premiere. The initial installment delivered 13.9 million viewers, a record for an entertainment-based, ad-supported cable show.
The second segment also drew 4.7 million adults 18 to 49, 100,000 fewer than the night before, and 5.8 million adults 25 to 54, equalling the opening night mark.
Network officials said the second night garnered 2.5 million males 18 to 49 and 3.2 million men 25 to 54.
