HBO Adds Second 'Silicon Valley' Season

HBO has ordered a second season of comedy Silicon Valley.

Mike Judge’s look at the tech world bowed before 2 million viewers on April 6, and added another 500,000 viewers over the course of the night, marking the best genre debut on the premium network since Hung in 2008. Last night, Silicon Valley’s Nielsen momentum continued as it garnered 1.6 million watchers for its 10 p.m. debut, and 2.1 million for the night.

HBO also added a fourth campaign for Julia Louis-Drefuss-starrer Veep, which scored 775,000 watchers for its Easter Sunday bow and a gross audience of 1.3 million.

Fantasy skein, Game of Thrones continued to sizzle, capturing 6.6 million viewers in its 9 p.m. window, before tacking on another 1.6 million watchers for a pair of encores.

HBO has already ordered fifth and sixth seasons of GOT.
