Home Box Office’s Sept. 20 replay telecast of the controversial Sept. 13
Oscar De La Hoya-Shane Mosley pay-per-view telecast generated a 7.1 rating for
the premium service.
Mosley won the super-middleweight title by beating former champ De La Hoya in
a disputed unanimous decision.
Most of those viewers did not stay around for HBO's telecast of the Chris
Bird-Fres Oquendo bout, which immediately followed De La Hoya-Mosley.
That fight -- in which Bird defeated Oquendo in yet another controversial
decision to retain his heavyweight title -- averaged a 6.1 rating.
