HBO Greenlights Fifth Season For 'Girls'

HBO's Emmy-winning comedy series Girls has been renewed for a fifth sesason nearly a week before its fourth season premiere.

The Lena Dunham-produced series will debut its fourth season this Sunday (Jan. 11.)

The series, which follows a close knit group of four New York City-based friends, just last month was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards, including best comedy as well as a best acrtress in a comedy nod for Dunham.

The Golden Globe Awards ceremony will air this Sunday on NBC.
