HBO, Lee Prepping N.O. Documentary

Pasadena, Calif. -- Home Box Office is in production with Spike Lee’s 40 Acres and a Mule Filmworks Inc. on When the Levee Broke, a portrait of New Orleans and its people and how it has survived the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Speaking at the Television Critics Association tour here, executives at the premium network said Lee’s feature-length documentary is expected to bow this summer.

HBO added that its sports unit is in production on a documentary about tennis star and women’s-sports trailblazer Billie Jean King.
