HBO officials are asking fans to be patient as pay-per-view orders continue to come in in advance of tonight's Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao fight.
Time Warner and Charter consumers in particular have taken to social media to complain of ordering issues surrounding the fight, which is expected to surpass the record 2.4 million PPV buys generated by the 2007 Oscar De La Hoya-Mayweather fight.
Earlier this evening Charter posted a message on Twitter saying: "We are aware of the issue impacting the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao feed. We are working to resolve s soon as possible."
HBO Sports senior vice president Mark Taffet told Multichannel News to be patient as operators process a record number of orders.
“There are a record number of orders being placed. Fans should be patient and distributors will process their requests in an orderly manner,” he said.
