HBO Sets Jan. 12 Premiere Dates For `Girls,’ ‘True Detective’

Network To Debut ‘Looking” Jan. 19

HBO will debut the third season of its hit series Girls and its new drama series True Detective on Jan. 12, the network announced Wednesday.

The Lena Dunham starrer Girls (pictured) will premiere with back-to-back episodes beginning at 10 p.m. followed by 30 minute episodes during subsequent Sundays, according to the network.

Preceding Girls on Jan. 12 will be the premiere of True Detective, starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson as Louisiana detectives working on together on a 17-year old murder case.

On Jan 19 at 10:30 p.m. the network will premiere Looking, which revolves around three San Francisco-based friends who explore the options available to a new generation of gay men.
