HBO Sets October Premiere Date for ‘Watchmen’

HBO has set an Oct. 20 date for the premiere of its original drama series Watchmen, the network said Tuesday.

The series, which stars Regina King, is set in an alternate history where masked vigilantes are treated as outlaws. The series embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name, while attempting to break new ground of its own, according to HBO.
