HBO will bring back drama series The Deuce for a second season this September.

The series, which chronicles the dawn of the modern pornography business in 1970s New York City, will debut its second season Sept. 9, according to HBO.

The Deuce, which stars James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, averaged 5.6 million viewers across all platforms, including delayed viewing, during its first season, according to HBO.
