There were a few more in the crew for the final season bow of HBO's Entourage on Sunday night.
The eighth season starter of the Hollywood buddy series, entitled "Home Sweet Home," drew a combined 3.2 million viewers across two airings on July 24, up 4% from its seventh campaign. The 10:30 p.m. premiere averaged 2.5 million, up 1% from the last year's starter, while an additional 707,000 tuned in the midnight encore.
As such, Entourage built slightly from lead-in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is enjoying a strong season with the Nielsens. Curb garnered 2.4 million watchers at 10 p.m., and averagd another 554,000 at 12:30 a.m. on July 25, making it the strongest delivery for Larry David's show since March 2004.
Compared with the dual runs for its second episode on July 17, Sunday's installment, "Palestinian Chicken," grew 19%, according to Nielsen data.
The fifth episode of vampire series True Blood's fourth campaign scared up a season-high 6.6 million viewers, with 5.3 million tuning in at 9 p.m. and an additional 1.3 million at 11 p.m.
