High-definition-television network HDNet said Wednesday that it has signed an
exclusive licensing agreement with production company CineMuse Inc. for 25
original HDTV programs.
According to a press release, CineMuse has the largest collection of
programming originated in HDTV in the country.
Included in the library are documentaries on radical sports and Mexico's
Copper Canyon, as well as award-winning films from the Cannes Film Festival.
HDNet is available to DirecTV Inc. customers who have digital-television sets
and HDTV-enabled direct-broadcast satellite systems.
The network previously announced plans to broadcast HDTV programming from the
2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
