HDNet to Cover RNC in HD


Why watch the Republican National Convention in standard-definition TV?

HDNet Wednesday announced that it will pre-empt its primetime lineup to provide viewers with extensive live HD coverage of the RNC from New York’s Madison Square Garden Aug. 30-Sept. 2.

The network’s coverage will include speeches by former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, first lady Laura Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney and Mrs. Lynne Cheney and President George W. Bush as he accepts his renomination as the Republican presidential candidate.

HDNet will broadcast live from the Garden in HD Monday, Aug. 30 from 10 p.m.-11 p.m. (EST); Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 10 p.m.-11 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 1 from 10 p.m.-11:30 p.m.; and Thursday, Sept. 2 from 8 p.m.-11 p.m.
