HDNet Gets a Kick Out of MLS


HDNet Friday announced its schedule of 28 Major League Soccer games to be aired in HD during primetime.

The network’s slate kicks off April 2 when the Los Angeles Galaxy visit the Columbus Crew at 7:30 p.m. (EST).

HDNet said all 12 MLS teams will be featured throughout the season. The Crew lead the way with seven appearances, followed by the Chicago Fire and D.C. United (six); Real Salt Lake (five); and the Colorado Rapids, Galaxy, Club Deportivo Chivas USA, San Jose Earthquakes and Kansas City Wizards (four each).

The network’s broadcast team of Marcelo Balboa (color) and Glenn Davis (play-by-play) will return for their third season together in the booth, HDNet said.
