HDNet Waves NASCAR Start Flag


The first National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing-sanctioned event of the 2005 season will air exclusively on HDNet, the network said Tuesday.

NASCAR Grand National Division on HDNet: From Phoenix International Raceway will air Sunday, Jan. 30 at 5:30 p.m. (EST).

The coverage -- hosted by Rick Benjamin, Pat Patterson and Kandace Krueger -- will include the United Rentals 100 NASCAR Grand National Division, West Series race, as well as the Copper World Classic 75 NASCAR AutoZone Elite Division, Southwest Series race.

“This is very exciting for HDNet to provide NASCAR fans with a rare opportunity in January to see their favorite NASCAR drivers on television in the first NASCAR event of the 2005 season,” HDNet chairman Mark Cuban said in a prepared statement.
