Hearst Extends Station Retrans Carriage on Time Warner Cable through July 9

Potential retransmission-consent disconnects between stations owned by Hearst Corp. and carried by Time Warner Cable have been forestalled into the early part of July.
Time Warner Cable indicated on Saturday night that Hearst had granted it an extension through July 9.
A number of Hearst Stations faced retransmission-consent contract expiration with Time Warner Cable this weekend or in the weeks ahead, including KITV in Honolulu, WISN in Milwaukee, WMUR serving New Hampshire, WTAE Pittsburgh and WXII in Greensboro.
Other Hearst stations that could be impacted: WLKY in Louisville, where Time Warner Cable bought the attendant systems from Insight Communications earlier this year for $3 billion and WESH in Orlando, carried by Bright House Networks.
