HGTV Readies New Ad Campaign

Home & Garden Television will break a new marketing campaign Monday, June
16, themed, "You Should See What's on HGTV."

The campaign is the first creative from Detroit-based Doner, HGTV's new ad
agency, chosen in January.

HGTV marketing vice president Mike Boyd said "the centerpiece" of its
campaign will be three 30-second TV commercials that rely on humor to call
attention to such lifestyle-oriented shows as Designers' Challenge,
Design on a Dime and House Hunters.

Boyd said HGTV will be "investing our media budget almost entirely in cable
television," in primetime across about 20 networks -- among them A&E
Network, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Discovery Health Channel, Hallmark
Channel, The Learning Channel and USA Network.

In addition, HGTV's advertising will run across Scripps Networks' sister
services, as well as Scripps-owned newspapers and television stations, he
said.

Moreover, there will be an online component, including Yahoo! Inc. (www.yahoo.com), TV Guide.com (www.tvguide.com) and TV Guide's interactive
program guide.
