Harmonic Inc. reported its third-quarter results Thursday.
The vendor of digital-video, broadband-optical-networking and Internet-protocol-delivery systems said net sales rose 20% to $61 million from $50.6 million in the year-ago period.
Harmonic’s generally accepted accounting principles net loss was $2.9 million, or $0.04 per share, versus $4.2 million ($0.06) in the third quarter of 2004. Excluding the effect of noncash accounting charges for the amortization of intangibles, the company’s non-GAAP net loss was $2.6 million, or $0.04 per share, compared with $2 million ($0.03) in the previous-year period.
“During the third quarter, we continued to roll out important new technology and win new orders for digital-headend and fiber-optic systems across different markets," chairman, president and CEO Anthony J. Ley said in a prepared statement.
