Scholastic Corp. has signed to develop books based on programming from The
History Channel that will be geared for middle-grade readers.
A&E Television Networks' A&E Consumer Products division director of
licensing Carrie Trimmer announced Wednesday that the first books, slated to
appear this fall, will be based on the network's weekly series History's
Mysteries: Bizarre Beings and Haunted History: America's Most
Subsequent books will emanate from History's Sunday-night series, History
The channel's previous publishing partners are Warner Books and Simon &
Schuster, for Great American History Quiz Books and The History
Channel Audiobooks, respectively.
