History’s ‘In Search Of’ Reboot Debuts July 20

History will debut its unscripted series In Search Of on Friday, July 20, network officials said.

The investigative series, inspired by the classic In Search Of … show that ran in syndication and on Sci-Fi Channel (now Syfy) from 1997 to 1982, will explore all manner of mysterious phenomena around the world, according to officials.

The 10-episode reboot will be hosted by actor Zachary Quinto (Star Trek, Snowden), and each episode will investigate a different subject within a dynamic theme – such as super-humans, alien life, artificial intelligence, Atlantis, time travel, mysterious creatures – using new technology, new locations and deeper analysis, History said.

In Search Of is produced by Propagate Content, Universal Television Alternative Studio and Before the Door Pictures, with FremantleMedia International distributing the series globally. Quinto will serves as executive producer along with Ben Silverman, Howard Owens, Brett-Patrick Jenkins, Eddie Schmidt and Zachary Behr.
