Hopkins, Jones To Headline Versus Boxing Card

Versus will televise a Dec. 2 live boxing card featuring veteran boxers Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones Jr. that could serve a lead-up to a big pay-per-view matchup between the two fighters.
Versus will televise from Philadelphia former middleweight and light heavyweight champion Bernard Hopkins' fight against light heavyweight contender Enrique Ornelas , as well as from Australia eight-time world champion Roy Jones Jr.'s battle against International Boxing Organization cruiserweight champion Danny Green .
If Hopkins and Jones should emerge victorious, it could set up a first quarter 2010 PPV rematch of their 1993 middleweight fight won by Jones.
"Two legendary fighters appearing on Versus in the same night demonstrates the network's commitment to airing marquee sporting events featuring athletes competing at the highest level," said Marc Fein, Executive Vice President of Programming, Production and Business Operations for Versus in a statement. "With the possibility of Jones Jr. and Hopkins facing each other in the ring in the near future, December 2 is a night boxing fans can't miss."
