Former Turner Broadcasting System Inc. executive Kevin Gaffney will head up the upstart Houston Regional Sports Network.
Gaffney, previously a senior vice president of Turner’s Eastern division, will serve as president and CEO of the regional sports network, which is set to launch in the fall of 2005 with games from the National Basketball Association’s Houston Rockets.
The network also expects to air Houston Astros Major League Baseball games in 2006.
