High Speed Access Corp.signed deals with three content providers as part of a national initiative to expand local content and bolster alliances with cable affiliates. During the fourth quarter, HSA plans to launch a Web site redesign that provides content fromZatso Inc., a provisioner of local TV-news video clips and streaming media applications;DineCore Inc.'sDineSite.com, an online restaurant guide that has been customized for HSA markets; and
GORP.com, a Web-based travel agent.
HSA-which presently provides localized Web content to more than 100 cable systems-said the new resources would be offered to its cable partners. The company said it would also use the content as part of its promotional campaigns.GORP.com will offer 1,000 free frequent-flier miles on American Airlines Inc. to HSA customers that book travel on GORPtravel.com. HSA also said its localized Web pages would continue to tout cable affiliates' brands.
