HSA Reaches Milestone

High Speed Access Corp. said it has signed up more than 100,000 residential
cable-modem subscribers, boosting its year-over-year numbers by roughly 520

While the figure is a significant milestone for HSA, the company has yet to
report any headway in signing deals with former ISP Channel affiliates.

ISP Channel, which is set to cease operations, has given HSA clearance to
negotiate with its existing cable affiliates.

An HSA spokeswoman said the company has not announced any deals with former
ISP Channel affiliates, adding that some of the 100,000 are cable-modem
subscribers HSA absorbed via its acquisition of C-COR.net Corp.'s
Convergence.com subsidiary.

As of Dec. 31, HSA said, it had letters of intent or contracts to offer
services to more than 6.6 million homes passed, as well as cable-system
deployments in place to serve about 3.8 million homes.

HSA has also expanded its business to include digital subscriber line and
Web-site-hosting services, and it has launched technical trials for
Internet-protocol telephony.
