Hsia Heads Higher At Bravo Digital Media

Bravo Media has elevated Lisa Hsia to the newly created position of senior vice president, new media and digital strategy.

In addition to continued oversight of Bravo's new media team, where she oversees programming opportunities in new and emerging media and is responsible for all aspects of the business, including technology alliances, content and marketing partnerships, Hsia will now set the overall digital and new media strategy for the network. Moreover, she will expand her responsibilities to manage Bravo's portfolio of linked digital assets and broadband properties, including BravoTV.com, OutzoneTV.com, TelevisionWithoutPity.com and BrilliantButCancelled.com.

Since joining Bravo in 2005, Hsia has supervised the launch of over 60 mobile campaigns for the network's series on multiple wireless carriers and on 10 wireless Web sites, as well as the launch of the Top Chef mobile game. She was also instrumental in launching Bravo's innovative "L-Bar" technology, the first-ever live technology where viewers can interact with both a TV program and its commercials, allowing sponsors and advertising to become interactive.

Further, she has managed the new media team's numerous firsts in the interactive TV arena -- live voting on TV ever on three platforms (online, mobile, cable remote); the first advertiser-sponsored one-screen ever for Top Chef on Time Warner Cable; the first ever cross one-screen partnership with four cable operators; and the initial satellite synchronized interactive TV application for voting/polling on Dish Network.

“Lisa has innovated in the most challenging and cutting edge areas of the digital arena, creating a new source of content creation and revenue for Bravo Media,” said Lauren Zalaznick, president, Bravo Media and Oxygen Media, in a statement. “She will demonstrate that same vision and instinct in the already successful Bravo digital properties, accelerating their growth potential in the fast-changing media landscape.”

Prior to working at Bravo, Hsia was a news executive at NBC News, supervising the Today show, Dateline and NBC News Productions.
