HSN HD Now Available To Time Warner Cable's New Customers

Time Warner Cable subscribers in the New York area can really see the jewelry coruscate the other merchandise really pop now that HSN is available in the high-definition format.

The cable operator launched the HD version of HSN in the New York area last week, according to officials at the network. Deal terms were not disclosed.

Coupled with the launch on Verizon FiOS nationally, HSN HD is now available to more than 3 million homes nationwide since making the conversion to the enhanced format in early August.
"In our ongoing effort to advance the HSN presentation to fit the tastes, needs and lifestyle of our users, this is by far one of our most extensive undertakings," said HSNi CEO Mindy Grossman in a statement. "Conversion to HD emphasizes our commitment to innovation, and allows us now to produce programming, and showcase our brand and variety of one-of-a-kind products and partners, in ways that were never before possible."

Unlike many other HD networks that feature black banners on each side to compensate for the different aspect ratio, HSN has shifted everything to the left, allowing for additional, enhanced graphics, according to officials at the home shopping service.
