Hulu Nabs ‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Streaming Rights

OTT streaming service Hulu has secured rights to past seasons of outgoing TNT scripted drama series Rizzoli & Isles as part of a broader content deal with Warner Bros, the service announce Thursday.

Hulu will have streaming premiere rights for the past six seasons of the highly-rated Rizzoli & Isles, which will launch its seventh and final season this summer, said network officials.

The streaming service has also acquired rights to Fox broadcasting dramas Blindspot and Lucifer as well as drama series The OC, Smallville and Southland to distribute on its no commercials and limited commercials subscription services over the next couple of months, said network officials.

“We are honored to announce that, in our first licensing agreement with Warner Bros. Television, we will be bringing two of the year's biggest hits, Blindspot and Lucifer, exclusively to Hulu,” said Craig Erwich, SVP Head of Content, Hulu in a statement.
