ICTV Upgrades TV Browser

has released the latest version of its TV Browser, supporting recent plug-ins for such "rich media" Internet content as streaming video.

Missouri-basedSt. Joseph Cablevision, which has deployed ICTV's analog interactive-television platform, is using the new browser, dubbed release "2.3.1," ICTV said.

ICTV's latest TV Browser supports plug-ins for the latest versions of "Flash4," "Director7," "DirectX," "Real Player," "QuickTime," "Windows Media Player" and "VCDROM."

"Broadband TV isn't about yesterday's content.it's about tomorrow's content," ICTV senior vice president of marketing and business development Michael Collette said in a press release.
