IMS Hires Ruiz To Lead Ad Sales Effort for BeIN Sports

Media buying and marketing company IMS Internet Media Services has called on Cesar Ruiz to lead its sales team in the U.S.

Most recently with ESPN Deportes, Ruiz, in the newly created role of vice president, U.S. Sales, will primarily focus on the advertising sales efforts for IMS client and soccer proponent beIN Sports, which counts coverage of Spain's La Liga, Italy's Serie A, and France's La Lique, among its key properties.

Based in IMS’s New York office, Ruiz – formerly the senior sales director at ESPN Deportes – will also build and helm IMS’s growing sales and client service teams across the U.S.

In December, IMS partnered with the nternational programmer to sell national TV advertising and sponsorship packages for beIN Sports, beIN Sports en Español and TV Everywhere platform, beIN Sports Play. Ruiz is charged with bringing additional sales executives dedicated to the beIN Sports account in major markets across the nation.

Ruiz' career has also included stints at Mexican conglomerate Televisa and Tribune Media Co. At ESPN Deportes, he led the network's national sales efforts out of its New York office.
