Insight Communications has selected IneoQuest Technologies' video-monitoring solution to ensure high service availability for its customers in the Midwest.
IneoQuest's IQPinPoint system will let the MSO identify the root cause of video issues and control operational expenses, according to the companies. Insight said it selected the IneoQuest product because of its ability to monitor end-to-end video quality of service and quality of experience for thousands of video programs simultaneously via a single dashboard.
"Video quality of service has always been a top concern for the operation of our digital video services," Insight vice president of video engineering Abe Naghibi said in a statement. "However, efficiently identifying and understanding problems that impact our video delivery, such as jitter, delay and loss, is increasingly challenging in our high-capacity next generation network. IneoQuest supports 10Gb line-rate monitoring with accurate measurement and metrics, such as MDI [Media Delivery Index], providing us with just the solution we were seeking."
Insight is the ninth-largest U.S. MSO with 766,000 customer relationships.
