Kim Kelly, executive vice president, chief operating officer and chief
financial officer of Insight Communications Co. Inc., has been named chairman of
the Cabletelevision Advertising Bureau's board of directors.
Kelly, who had previously served as CAB vice chair, succeeds Steve Heyer, the
former president and COO of Turner Broadcasting System Inc., who recently joined
The Coca-Cola Co.
With Kelly's appointment, BET Holdings Inc. executive vice president of
affiliate sales and marketing Curtis Symonds becomes vice chairman, while The
Weather Channel president and CEO Decker Anstrom is now board secretary. Also,
Time Warner Communications executive vice president Ted Cutler has been named
'Now more than ever, this is the time to make sure our industry gets its fair
share of the advertising pie, which we've earned by delivering programming that
consumers want,' Kelly said in a prepared statement.
