INSP to Launch La Familia Network

The Inspiration Networks signed an agreement to distribute a 24-hour,
family-oriented Hispanic channel called La Familia Network to cable
operators.

The network has been market-tested for more than three years in low-power
broadcast stations across Texas.

'Cable operators have told us there is an absence of good, solid,
family-values programming' serving the Hispanic market, Inspiration vice
president of affiliate sales Tom Holman said.

The company plans a wide range of original content, including talk, sports,
concerts, cooking, lifestyle and educational programming, Holman said.

'We hope this will be an inducement for some Hispanic households to get
cable,' VP of marketing John Roos said. 'We can help operators to get digital
into more households.'

The network will offer local ad avails to affiliates, the company said.

Although much of the television production will continue to be done in Texas,
the network's headquarters will be in Charlotte, N.C.

The feed is available at the Galaxy 4 satellite on transponder
23.
