Int’l Channel Networks to Distribute Korean Channel

International Channel Networks will invest in Television Korea 24 (tvK24) and distribute the channel to cable and direct-broadcast satellite operators in North America under terms of a deal announced Tuesday.

The 24-hour Korean language channel, set to launch in the fourth quarter, is a digital-basic network dedicated to serving Korean-American communities across the United States.

Its programming is made up of news, dramas, movies, sports, business, health, music, children's, game shows, entertainment and educational programming, all in Korean.

ICN and tvK24 will jointly market the network. ICN will handle national advertising sales, while tvK24 will focus on local and Korean accounts.
