New York -- On-demand programming company Intertainer Inc. will distribute
original shows and movies from A&E Television Networks on a video-on-demand
basis as part of a comprehensive content agreement between the two parties.
The deal, announced Tuesday, will allow Intertainer to offer selected
programming from A&E Network and The History Channel on a pay-per-view and
VOD basis on Intertainer's digital-cable VOD platform and its Intertainer.tv
broadband Internet VOD platform beginning in February, representatives from both

episodes from A&E's popular Biography series will be offered.
The two companies will also work together to produce interactive content that
will allow viewers to delve deeper into the program for more information, as
well as to take advantage of electronic-commerce opportunities.
The deal marks the first VOD agreement for A&E Networks, although senior
vice president of affiliate sales David Zagin said the programmer is talking
with other VOD distributors about similar content arrangements.
Intertainer executive vice president of content and marketing Mark Sonnenberg
said in a statement, 'Cable programming such as Biography and
History's Mysteries from The History Channel, and much more under the
A&E Television Networks banner . will be a huge hit with our viewers.'

Music to offer its users music videos from EMI's library on a VOD
