Isaak Returns on Showtime

Showtime has renewed The Chris Isaak Show for a third season.

Production will begin in January on 13 new episodes, which will likely
premiere next June, according to a spokeswoman for the premium service.

The quirky series stars musician Isaak and his band, and provides comic,
behind-the-scenes looks at the life of a rock star, while melding in fictional
elements through an ensemble cast of created characters like the musician's
manager Yola (Kristin Datillo) and keyboardist Anson (Jed Rees).

Through its first 26 episodes, the show has featured a number of
guest-starring roles and performances from the likes of Bridget Fonda, Minnie
Driver, Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Joe Walsh, Green Day and The Goo Goo
Dolls.
