It’s Possible : Disney’s Promoting Kim

Disney Channel will look to build momentum for the second season of
animated series Kim Possible by airing a
viewer’s-choice marathon.

The network will run the 21-episode countdown marathon
July 12 from noon to 10:30 p.m., arranged in response to votes tallied from an
online poll of viewers’ favorite episodes on the network’s Web page (www.disney.go.com/disneychannel/index.html

).

The first of the new episodes will bow July 18 at 6:30 p.m., with seven
others following Friday nights at that time throughout the balance of the
summer.

All told, a Disney spokesman said, the network has ordered 31 installments
for the series’ second season.

Kim Possible is Disney’s highest-rated animated
series in 2003 among kids 6-11 and households, averaging a 3.6 and a 1.4,
respectively, for premiere episodes, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The upcoming marathon will feature the debut of music video "Naked Mole Rap,"
performed by the show’s naked-mole-rat character, Rufus, and his sidekick, Ron
Stoppable.

The song, among others inspired by the series, will be featured on the Kim
Possible
soundtrack, scheduled to be released July 22 from Walt Disney
Records.

Disney Consumer Products this month is launching an extensive Kim
Possible
line -- including clothing, action figures and room décor -- in
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. locations nationwide.
