It’s Showtime in Rhode Island

Showtime hour-long drama series Brotherhood will be set in Providence, R.I., AP reported.

Brotherhood tells the story of two brothers -- one a politician, the other a mobster -- who grew up in a fictional Irish neighborhood in Providence called "The Hill."

“This is the first time a TV series has been shot entirely in the state of Rhode Island," Steven Feinberg, director of the Rhode Island Film & Television Office, told AP.

The pilot was filmed in Providence in September, and Showtime has ordered 11 more episodes of the series, The Providence Journal reported Friday.
