It's Earth Day: Here's What's On TV

Friday, Aprill 22, is Earth Day, and here's a look at some of what's on TV.

On Sprout, the preschooler channel, the enviro-friendly animated series dirtgirlworld kicks off a two-hour marathon at 1 p.m.

Sprout kicked off the day by having Top Chef's Richard Blais visit The Sunny Side Up Show for some green cooking and craft fun. Sprout is part of NBC Universal, which has been honoring green themes all week in an annual show of support (this being the first year under Comcast control).

At Discovery's Planet Green, the big event is Saturday's premiere of Isabella Rossellini's quirky new documentary Animals Distract Me (preview here) at 10 p.m.

Current TV is debuting a special,.Man Versus Earth, at 9 p.m. Read more about it here.
